Andrew Brophy! Fresh dad! Over the last five years this smiley-poppy cat has leapt his way into the global skate consciousness seemingly effortlessly. His genuine puppy-like enthusiasm seems to guide him through all scenarios with both grace and courtesy. Margaret River grown. Great guy. Mad snaps. World at his feet. Today I caught up with the Noosa-lurking man-child who is now actually a husband-pro-dad-man-child. He is fresh of the release of his pro shoe, about to coat a mini ramp and then is going back to Cali - morgan campbell

Yeas sir!

Everyone (on Four Star) except Gonz and Malto.
Where did you stay?
North shore right at pipe (line)
Did you surf?
Every morning for about three hours it was epic.
Your shoe just came out with DVS right?
Yes it did.
Did you stoke out when you first saw it?
Yeah man, it’s a great honour to get a pro shoe for sure, never thought in a million years I would get one.
What about your mini ramp? What is the story there?
It’s going in this week and getting concreted over, shit will be off the charts!!!
And you have just become a papa…(congrats) how is that?
Being a dad is epic; our little boy Jagger is amazing.
A lot seems to have happened to you awfully fast. Has it been hectic? Do u ever spin out at the calibre of what has happen?
Not really, I mean yeah a lot has happened but it’s all kinda been mellow if you know what I mean?
Now what is the deal with your knee? What did u have to get done?
The knee sucked so bad, I crushed the cartilage on my femur real bad and tore out the underneath of my kneecap leaving a chunk of bone stuck in the joint. I had a good surgeon and he got it fixed for me, I’m all-good now, but for seven months I was not ha-ha.
And now what ankle yeah? Did u get some good skating in before u got hurt?
Yeah I had a blast, then I rolled my ankle: ha-ha life’s a bitch.
What is next for Brophy? Where are you going to be living for the next couple of years?
I think were going to do like two years back in LA and the Melbourne! Looking forward to it all.
