STREETWISE


‘Streetwise’ is a targeted national grassroots sports development program designed to offer kids from all walks of life the opportunity to become actively involved in freestyle sports in Australia. StreetWise provides opportunities for young Australian’s to get active, stay healthy and enjoy action sports such as skateboarding on a regular basis, in a safe and well managed environment.

‘StreetWise’ targets both boys and girls aged between 6-17 years of age. Participants are able to enjoy 4 hours of coaching at their local skatepark with some of Australia’s best freestyle sporting athletes who are officially recognized via the Australian Sports Commissions (ASC) National Coach Accreditation Scheme as level one skateboarding coaches.

Upcoming Clinics



Thanks to the Great Lakes Council, Youth Fest & Homebase Services, StreetWise will be dropping into the Tuncurry Skate Park for Youth Week in April.

The clinics are $5.00 to register for the 4 hrs of skateboard coaching and each participant receives a StreetWise mammoth pack including a Stick It learn to skate DVD, StreetWise School Ruler, SLAM Skateboard magazine, Skate Shoelaces & SbA Sticker pack!

Protec, Slam, Rampant Prize packs will also be awarded on the day by the coaches.

The program commences on Saturday the 10th of April and concludes on Sunday the 11th of April 2010. (See schedule below for more details).
