What is ASPA?
It’s the Australian Skate Photography Awards proudly brought
to you by Skullcandy and Australian Skateboarding magazine
- it’s a celebration of skate culture in Australia and one of the
coolest concepts to hit the Australian skate industry in years.
It’s a photography competition that’s open to everyone and this
is how it works: skaters, friends of skaters, pro photographers,
filmmakers and anyone else with a camera pointed at skate
culture are invited to submit their best images and/or film to enter.
The aim of the event is to bring the industry together including
both International and Australian established skate photographers
whilst unearthing future talent in skateboarding photography and
film making.
Got a great image? Send it in and go up against the pros in one
of six still photography categories or two filmmaking categories
and win cash prizes. Plus, from all the entries we will announce
Australia’s Skate Photographer of the Year and Skate Filmmaker of
the Year in a special issue of Australian Skateboarding Magazine.
Skullcandy and Australian Skateboarding Magazine are making
it happen so click download the ASPA Entry Form from the new
Skate website www.skatemag.com.au and start shooting your
mates! Entries must be in by December 22, 2006.
So, spread the word as this one is going to be big! If you have any
questions please don’t hesitate to contact Jon Lorcan on email at
skate.ed@emap.com.au or by phone on 02 9581 9515.
