The Level One Skateboard Coach Accreditation program developed by Skateboarding Australia, is recognised by the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC). All participants to complete the accreditation process will receive recognition of the ASC and Skateboarding Australia, and professional indemnity insurance from Skateboarding Australia. The accreditation course encompasses the following components;

General Principles: Attendance at one-day training workshop and completion of a workbook with grading of 65% +.
Sports Specific: Attendance at one-day training workshop.
Practical Coaching: Completion of 30 hours of practical coaching after attendance at the workshop. 10 of these hours must be completed with another accredited coach.
Code of Ethics: All participants must sign and return Skateboarding Australia's code of ethics form.




COURSES COMING UP

VICTORIA
A level 1 Skateboard Coaching Course is taking place in Melbourne in the month of June. Specific dates have not yet been finalized but if you would like to register your interest for this course please email Skateboarding Australia. The cost of the course is $275.00 which includes all resources, registration with the Australian Sports Commission and certificate of completion. The course will run over two days with the first day taking place in a class room environment and the following day in the skate park.

NEW SOUTH WALES
Several Councils are looking at hosting a level 1 Skateboard Coaching Course in the coming months including the Gosford City Council, & Wollongong Shire Council. Specific dates have not yet been set but if you would like to register your interest for this course please email Skateboarding Australia.
